If you've ever been to the Salton Sea here in California, you may
recognize the wreckage in the foreground as the view from Bombay Beach,
one of the little towns along the Salton Sea's shoreline that was half
swallowed by the water. The rest of the scene however is my own creation.
I was inspired by the wreckage there to make this desolate scene.
In my mind, the guy in the row boat is the last man on earth. --Sam
