If you know your movies then you probably
noticed this image is reminiscent of the scene
in Close Encounters of the Third
Kind where the boy opens the door. That wasn't intentional, but when
the similarity dawned on me I felt I had to mention the comparison
between the two. The image works in much the same way I think.
I get asked often if this is a real
child. No. I used an ancient Cupie Doll that I found
one day while rummaging around in my mother’s closet.
She said it was passed onto her from her mother. It was
very old and the skin was cracking. Very creepy! --Sam
